Planning The Way

The Toronto West CAER Committee recognizes the need and the right of the public to know the risks associated with the manufacturing, storage, handling and distribution of industrial chemicals and potentially hazardous materials within West Toronto.

Our objectives include a program for public education regarding chemicals and a community emergency response plan for the handling of chemical related emergencies.

Our commitment as a committee to members:

Provision of assistance to member companies in completing internal facility safety assessments.
Provision of assistance to member companies in completing site emergency plans, which are to be filed with the Toronto Fire Services.
Allow for the sharing of ideas, education and networking amongst members and community.
Report on activities from other CAER Groups.
